The Jury

The White & Green Ribbon has a jury that also serves as a reference group for the development of the Ribbons. In addition to the core team (Annica, Torkel, and Sara), the jury includes three additional stars – each a passionate ambassador for the White & Green Ribbon.

The Jury’s Role

The jury acts as a sounding board for complex decisions, such as rule adjustments, unforeseen events, and questions about the Ribbons’ future development. They also evaluate and, hopefully, approve Ribboners upon completing their journey. Additionally, after each season, the jury selects the “Trail Angel of the Year” based on nominations from Ribboners..

The jury aims to increase interest in long mountain treks, elevate the prestige of mountain trekking and skiing, and promote greater awareness of the unique nature and culture of mountain landscapes. Their ambition includes addressing key issues such as Allemansrätten  (The Right of Public Access) and the preservation and development of mountain trails in collaboration with other stakeholders connected to the mountain environment.
